Janney Montgomery Scott LLC is currently seeking a Compensation Analyst to join its Human Resources team. This position will work closely with the HR Director, HR Generalists, HR Recruiter, and Business Managers to ensure overall adherence to the company’s compensation mission, programs, and policies.
The primary duties of this position include:
- Works closely with business managers regarding job evaluations, benchmarking, external competitiveness, and consistent application of compensation policies
- Drives and supports the annual compensation and bonus planning processes
- Designs and develops accurate standard/ ad-hoc reports including, but not limited to, workforce analysis with tools such as ReportSmith, Excel, and Access
- Manages Compensation survey participation and data
- Maintains the integrity of HR databases
- Prepares detailed technical reports and management reports as needed
- Submits employment and wage reports (e.g.,EEO-1 reports) to various agencies
- Reviews data flows, process inefficiencies, and data integrity to establish baseline data availability standards
- Special projects as assigned which may include compensation redesign programs, development of new programs, and total compensation communications
- Resolves compensation related issues as needed

Candidates for the Compensation Analyst position should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
- 3-5 years performing increasingly complex compensation analysis to include market pricing, position evaluation, and salary administration; or equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training
- Prior experience analyzing complex data
- Expert experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft office products
- Experience conducting statistical analysis including headcount reporting, staffing metrics, regulatory compliance reporting, etc.
- Knowledge of federal/state wage and hour laws; (e.g., FLSA, Minimum Wage, etc.)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate in a professional manner across all levels
- Possess strong influence management, critical thinking, analytical, quantitative, and problem solving skills
Candidates with the following experience are preferred:
- CCP
- PHR, SPHR
- Familiarity with HRIS systems
- Financial Services or Investment Banking experience
